NY Firefighter Critical after St. Patrick's Weekend Bar Incident

A bar incident over Saint Patrick’s Day weekend has left a Buffalo firefighter in critical condition.

A bar incident between off-duty Buffalo firefighters has left one in critical condition with a head injury at Erie County Medical Center.

The incident happened at The Blackthorn Restaurant & Pub on Seneca Street Saturday around 5:30 p.m., according to WIVB.com.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn Jr. said Tuesday, “No one is coming forward to explain how he was hurt.”

According to Flynn, there were numerous other firefighters in uniform at the bar along with other St. Patrick's Day revelers.

Flynn said Buffalo police are conducting a thorough investigation, "They're going to round up every person in that bar, I'm telling you right now."

Buffalo police and the district attorney’s office are investigating this incident, and are seeking the publics help to gain information about what took place.
