A Brevard County fire lieutenant is facing multiple charges after he stole credit cards from fellow responders who were on a call.
The thefts, that occurred at Brevard County Fire Rescue Station 44 in Cocoa resulted in more than $1,000 in unauthorized charges, according to The Space Coast Rocket.
Deputies, who saw Wesley McCormick on surveillance video from a Sunoco and Publix, took him into custody Friday.
McCormick, a Brevard County Fire Rescue lieutenant, purchased lottery and scratch-off cards and other items at the grocery store.
He was charged with fraudulent use of identification information from a first responder, fraudulent use of a credit card, obtaining a credit card by fraudulent means, petit theft in one case and grand theft in the other.
