A Palm Beach Gardens teen who suffered a stroke at age 9 has received a charitable donation so he can continue chasing his firefighter dreams.

Brycen Brant, a 16-year-old Explorer whose father is a firefighter, lost the use of one side of his body because of the stroke and has found a doctor who will craft an active prosthetic limb to help him become a firefighter.

The organization Firefighters to the Rescue donated $2,500 to his cause.
