Family and friends gathered to remember a young firefighter who died in house fire at his funeral Monday.
Sean Carroll, 26, was asleep in his Thornwood home when a fire broke out Thanksgiving morning. His family was able to escape uninjured.
“Sean was just a loving, caring individual who put service above everything. He followed in his father’s footsteps, in his brother’s footsteps. It’s just a tragic loss," Rye Brook Police Chief Gregory Austin told WCBS.com.
