Car Crashes into TN Fire Museum

A vehicle crash into the Knoxville Fire Department Museum caused extensive damage to the structure.

A single vehicle crash caused extensive damage to the Knoxville Fire Department’s Museum located adjacent to fire department headquarters station.

The museum was damaged when a Jeep Grand Cherokee left the road crashing through the building narrowly missing the historic steamer engine Sam B. Boyd, WBIR 10 News reported.

The historic steam engine is named after a former Knoxville fire chief who died from a medical emergency while responding to a fire.

Officials said there were no injuries as a result of yesterday's accident.
