Charges against two D.C. firefighters stemming from a brawl earlier this year have been dropped.
Lt. Sean Sinon and Firefighter Reden Ecleo were charged with assault after they were captured on video punching and kicking a man while assessing patients at a crash scene, WRC reported.
The civilian who threw the first punch was charged, but quickly dropped. Six firefighters were placed on leave after the April brawl.
“Today IAFF Local 36 is pleased to share that the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia dropped all charges against our members who were assaulted in the course of their duty. The health and safety of our members will always remain our top priority," a union statement read.
