Felony convictions won't keep you from responding with the Kansas City Fire Department.
Firefighter Pleaze Robinson, a convicted felon who admitted to beating a woman after an off-duty road rage incident, remained on the job, was charged this week for urinating in the office of a female paramedic.
“He’s a menace to society and he’s not going to stop until they do something with him,” Douglas Fleming, the victim's husband, told Fox4. “The fire department needs to get rid of him because he is representing the fire department. This man is just trouble and hopefully something will be done.”
And, it appears that the driver of a fire engine that crashed and killed three people in 2021 is slated to return. A high-ranking fire official told a reporter that Dominc Biscari is not only getting his position back but will return to driving.
Although he had been placed in service, he continued to drive at a high rate of speed with the the rig's lights and siren activated. The crash occurred when he ran a red light.
He was given probation after admitting to three counts of manslaughter.
After the conviction, his IAFF union supported him being reinstated as a firefighter.
Firefighters, according to the station, are more upset that there hasn't been any training to prevent another tragedy than they are about Biscari getting back behind the wheel.
