Dad, Daughters Killed in Clymer, PA, House Fire

Clymer firefighters found the bodies of the victims, 34, 7 and 4 after battling the flames that consumed the duplex.

CLYMER, Pa. – Indiana County authorities are investigating a deadly house fire Friday on the 400 block of Hancock Street in Clymer.

According to Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr., fire crews responded to a structure fire at that location around 4 a.m.

After battling flames primarily in the front section of the home, firefighters found 34-year-old Kirk L. Fabiszewski and his two daughters dead inside. Overman said the girls were 4 and 7 and their names are not being released.

The cause of death is pending autopsy and the manner of death is pending the investigation, the coroner's office said.

Clymer, Commodore, Cherryhill, Hope, Homer City and Creekside fire departments responded to the scene, along with the Indiana County Rapid Intervention Team, Pennsylvania State Police and Citizens' Ambulance Service.
