A cat in Greensburg won't be getting treats anytime soon.

That's because it ignited a kitchen fire that claimed two off his feline friends.

"That's the first time I've ever witnessed an animal causing a fire. A cat jumped up on the stove, ignited the stove with the burner," Greensburg Fire Chief Tom Bell told WTAE.

There's no denying who was responsible as a video captured the incident. The footage has not been made public yet, the chief said.

"I noticed fire and heavy smoke conditions in between the buildings. We found that the fire was contained in the back part of the building, which is the kitchen."

While there were no humans injured, two cats perished.

"The one that jumped up on the stove was the lone survivor."
