Woman Admits to Setting Fires in Spokane County, WA
A woman told an investigator it may have been excitement that led her to ignite up to 11 fires in western Spokane County.
Georgia Williams, 61, was arrested after she and a man were seen on surveillance camera leaving just before smoke billowed from a trailer, kxly reported.
The cameras had been installed in the area where multiple fires had been set.
Investigators found a charred sheet of paper on the floor of her truck as well as a purple lighter in the door pocket. Deputies say Williams confessed to setting boxes on fire on July 15.
She was charged with one count of second-degree arson. Her bail was set at $7,500.
The investigation is continuing.
