Pets Carried From Burning N.C. Animal Hospital

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Firefighters responded to the scene of a fire at an animal hospital in east Charlotte on Friday afternoon. All of the animals were evacuated from the Commonwealth Animal Hospital. Chopper 9 flew over the scene where a firefighter could be seen on the roof of the building on Commonwealth Avenue and Thomas Avenue near Central Avenue. Employees were seen carrying animals out of the building. Officials have not said what caused the fire.

Firefighters responded to the scene of a fire at an animal hospital in east Charlotte on Friday afternoon.

All of the animals were evacuated from the Commonwealth Animal Hospital.
