Truckload of New BMWs Burns on Ind. Insterstate

CROTHERSVILLE, Ind. -- Part of Interstate 65 was closed in southern Indiana on Friday morning after a tractor-trailer hauling seven new BMW vehicles burned Thursday evening. Indiana State Police and several fire departments were called to the northbound lanes of I-65 near the Crothersville exit about 7:40 p.m. The trailer was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. No one was injured. "The cause of the fire is unknown at this time," said ISP Sgt. Jerry Goodin.

Part of Interstate 65 was closed in southern Indiana on Friday morning after a tractor-trailer hauling seven new BMW vehicles burned Thursday evening.

Indiana State Police and several fire departments were called to the northbound lanes of I-65 near the Crothersville exit about 7:40 p.m.

The trailer was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. No one was injured.

"The cause of the fire is unknown at this time," said ISP Sgt. Jerry Goodin.

The right lane of northbound I-65 was closed in the area on Friday morning as the vehicles were removed.
