Three People Hurt in North Carolina House Fire

-- Sept. 13--Three people were hurt in a house fire Tuesday evening in northeast Charlotte. The fire, which produced heavy smoke, was reported around 7:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Dawn Circle, in a neighborhood off North Tryon Street. More than 20 firefighters arrived and brought the blaze under control in 10 minutes.

The fire, which produced heavy smoke, was reported around 7:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Dawn Circle, in a neighborhood off North Tryon Street.

More than 20 firefighters arrived and brought the blaze under control in 10 minutes.

Paramedics said they took three people to Carolinas Medical Center. One person suffered life-threatening injuries, and the other two had injuries described as potentially life threatening.

Charlotte Fire Capt. Rob Brisley said the origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation.
