Six Suspicious Fires Erupt in Ohio in a Month

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio -- Six suspicious fires have broken out in New Philadelphia since June 12, and firefighters are looking for who is responsible. Firefighters said the arsonist has most recently set two cars on fire as of Tuesday morning. Those cars, according to firefighters, were unlocked and sitting side-by-side in a driveway on Beaver Avenue NE. The fires went unnoticed for some time since it happened in the middle of the night, said fire officials.

Six suspicious fires have broken out in New Philadelphia since June 12, and firefighters are looking for who is responsible.

Firefighters said the arsonist has most recently set two cars on fire as of Tuesday morning. Those cars, according to firefighters, were unlocked and sitting side-by-side in a driveway on Beaver Avenue NE.

The fires went unnoticed for some time since it happened in the middle of the night, said fire officials.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
