HONOLULU
--
Honolulu firefighters responded to a high-rise fire Thursday.
The fire was reported about 12:30 p.m. at 2410 Cleghorn St.
The two-alarm fire prompted the Honolulu Fire Department to dispatch units to the Waikiki high-rise.
Fire officials reported the fire was under control within minutes of the arrival of crews. A short time later, crews reported the fire extinguished.
The flames were confined to one unit on the fifth floor, fire officials said.
No one was home and no one was injured by the fire, officials said.
The flames gutted the unit, making it unlivable, fire officials said. The Red Cross sent a team to help the occupants of the unit.
Officials on the scene called for an investigator.
