House Next to Orlando Fire Station Burns

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Orange County firefighters didn't have to travel far to find a house on fire early Friday morning. The battalion chief told WFTV they discovered the fully involved fire right next to Fire Station 50 when they pulled out to respond a medical call just after 3am. The flames were already shooting through the roof at the home on 29th Street near Rio Grande Avenue.

Orange County firefighters didn't have to travel far to find a house on fire early Friday morning.

The battalion chief told WFTV they discovered the fully involved fire right next to Fire Station 50 when they pulled out to respond a medical call just after 3am.

The flames were already shooting through the roof at the home on 29th Street near Rio Grande Avenue.

The battalion chief said the home is a total loss. They say the owner was not at home at the time of the fire. They think he was renovating the home.
