N.Y. Man Damages Two Pennsylvania Churches

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. -- A New York man was charged with setting a church on fire and damaging another church after crashing his car into it. Evan Donnelly, 25, of Albany, is being held in Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail. Donnelly set fire to Shells Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Hanover Township Saturday afternoon because "someone told him to do it," state police said. The blaze damaged the church sanctuary and social hall.

A New York man was charged with setting a church on fire and damaging another church after crashing his car into it.

Evan Donnelly, 25, of Albany, is being held in Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Donnelly set fire to Shells Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Hanover Township Saturday afternoon because "someone told him to do it," state police said.

The blaze damaged the church sanctuary and social hall.

Donnelly is also accused of driving his car into the nearby Capital Bible Church on Route 39, damaging the church's block wall.
