Ind. House Fire Causes $2 Million in Damages

CARMEL, Ind. -- Firefighters battled a house fire near Lake Windemere in Carmel Friday night. The blaze broke out at about 9 p.m. in the 10900 block of Sedgemoor Circle, said Bill Kehl, spokesperson for the Carmel Fire Department. When firefighters arrived, they saw flames shooting from the back of the house and through the roof. Residents of the home escaped without injury. There is no word on what sparked the blaze.

Firefighters battled a house fire near Lake Windemere in Carmel Friday night.

The blaze broke out at about 9 p.m. in the 10900 block of Sedgemoor Circle, said Bill Kehl, spokesperson for the Carmel Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived, they saw flames shooting from the back of the house and through the roof.

Residents of the home escaped without injury. There is no word on what sparked the blaze.
