Pennsylvania Firefighter Charged With Arson

HERMITAGE, Pa. -- A volunteer firefighter was arrested for allegedly setting a fire in his hometown. Eric Trosch of Hermitage turned himself in to police Thursday. The 21-year-old is charged with setting fire to a condominium complex in May of last year. The building on American Way suffered more than $3,200 in damages including broken windows. The fire extinguished on its own. At the time, Trosch was a volunteer firefighter for Hermitage as well as an intern at the local police department.

HERMITAGE, Pa. --

A volunteer firefighter was arrested for allegedly setting a fire in his hometown.

Eric Trosch of Hermitage turned himself in to police Thursday. The 21-year-old is charged with setting fire to a condominium complex in May of last year.

The building on American Way suffered more than $3,200 in damages including broken windows. The fire extinguished on its own.

At the time, Trosch was a volunteer firefighter for Hermitage as well as an intern at the local police department.

Police scheduled a preliminary hearing for next week.
