Burning Bush Sets Ore. Church Ablaze
WOODBURN, Ore.
--
A burning bush set a Woodburn church on fire Friday morning, firefighters said.
Fire crews were called to the Church of Nazarene at 3601 Newberg Highway at 11:15 a.m., fire officials said, and found smoke coming from the building.
Flames from the bush had reached to the building, according to the Woodburn Fire District. A passerby used an extinguisher to knock out most of the fire before it spread.
The blaze appeared to mostly damage the outside of the church near the bush.
