TOWN OF TURTLE, Wis. --
The owner of a well-known restaurant said the damages from a weekend blaze could total one million dollars.
Fire crews and law enforcement responded to a call about a fire at the Gun Club Restaurant in the 1100 block of East Colley Road in the town of Turtle at about 5:13 a.m. Saturday.
Rock County sheriff's deputies, Beloit police officers, and firefighters and EMS workers from the Town of Turtle, Town of Beloit, Beloit, South Beloit, and Clinton all responded.
When firefighters arrived, they found the restaurant's dining and office/kitchen areas engulfed in flames, according to a news release from the Rock County Sheriff's Department.

The fire was extinguished by about 9:45 a.m, about four hours after the blaze began.
Fire crews had to work to protect nearby residential homes and horse stables from suffering damage.
Authorities said that the investigation into the fire's cause is continuing.
