Kitchen Fire Damages Washington Fire Station
LONGVIEW, Wash.
--
Longview fire crews are cleaning up their own fire station today after a blaze started in their kitchen while they responded to a call.
Fire officials said the firefighters were making dinner on the fire station stove when they got a medical call and had to leave in a hurry. The firefighters turned off the stove, but they said someone accidentally bumped the knob on the way out. The stove then heated up a pan of oil and started a fire in the kitchen.
