Fire Destroys Home of Wash. Sheriff's Deputy

KELSO, Wash. -- A Cowlitz County sheriff’s deputy and his family lost their home in a massive fire Friday afternoon. Deputy Brent Harris is a K-9 handler. The blaze consumed his two-story home in Kelso, and the thick smoke could be seen for miles. So far, there is no word on how the fire started. No one was hurt in the blaze, but the family lost almost everything they own.
