Two-Alarm Fire Hits Washington Rendering Plant

TUKWILA, Wash. -- Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at a rendering plant in Tukwila on Sunday. Marty Grisham with the Tukwila Fire Department said that the fire was reported at about 10 a.m. at Baker Commodities, in the 5700 block of South 130th Place. Fire units from Skyway, Seatac, Kent and Renton were called in when the fire response went to two-alarm. Grisham said that there was one employee on-site at the time of the fire. There were no reported injuries.

There were no reported injuries.

Fire investigators are in the process of determining the cause of the fire.
