TUMWATER, Wash. --

75 people safely evacuated a call center in Tumwater as flames burned through the building.

The fire started around 9 p.m. Sunday at Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS) on Tumwater Blvd. Southwest.

Firefighters took a defensive stance and spent several hours battling the flames.

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Rick Price said crews kept the fire out of half of the building which is shaped like an "H."

ACS had planned to move into another facility in Lacey within the next two weeks. The fire may accelerate those plans.

Firefighters stayed on the scene into Monday morning as they investigated the cause.

Tumwater Fire Chief John Carpenter told KIRO 7 that he did not believe the fire was suspicious.

ACS is a Xerox company that provides customer care, business process, and information technology services.
