FOX POINT, Wis. --

Fox Point police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with three fires on the Cardinal Stritch University campus.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at Claire Residence Hall, 6801 N. Yates Road, around 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

That fire was quickly extinguished, but firefighters later found two other fires on different floors of the building.

The three fires forced the temporary evacuation of students.

Some students are now able to move back into the building, but about 25 others will have to live in another residence hall for what's expected to be several weeks while repairs are made.

University officials said crime is rare on the campus, and the incident won't spark any protocol change.

The suspect's future at the university depends on what the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office decides on Monday.
