LUTHERVILLE, Md.
--
The family that owns a Baltimore County lumber business suspects arson Sunday in what wasn't the first fire at the business.
Fire investigators are set to return Monday to the Bond Lumber and Home Center off Seminary Avenue in Lutherville, where a fire ignited Sunday.
"My life is gone. it's horrible," business owner Bunnie Gleiman said. "This has been my life, my family's life, since 1937 when my grandfather started it."
Gleiman told WBAL-TV 11 News she's convinced the fire was no accident.
"This is, I think, fire No. 7 in 13 years They've all been arson," she said.
Firefighters had to pull extra fire lines to control the flames, and the roof of a back warehouse caved in quickly.
"We had some smaller collapses, and when that occurred, we pulled all of our personnel out as is a standard practice for their safety," Baltimore County Fire Division Chief Michael Robinson said.
The family that has owned the business for almost 75 years said they think the fire consumed 90 percent of the inventory, including trucks, forklifts, materials and the coming week's orders.
"Sometimes, they think that it's the people that live under the bridge, the overpass and people walking over the Light Rail tracks. They just hop over, there's no fence there because the MTA wouldn't let us put one up," Gleiman said.
Gleiman said she suspects kids or drifters are to blame. Officials continue to investigate a cause.
