Electrical Fire Hits Pennsylvania Fire Department

Firefighters didn’t have to go very far to put out flames in Fayette County, Thursday night. A blaze broke out inside the Belle Vernon Fire Department at about 10:30 p.m. The fire company said the was electrical and didn't cause any damage. No injuries were reported. A separate blaze in Penn Hills started in the basement of a Laurie Drive home at about the same time.

Firefighters didn’t have to go very far to put out flames in Fayette County, Thursday night.

A blaze broke out inside the Belle Vernon Fire Department at about 10:30 p.m.

The fire company said the was electrical and didn't cause any damage.

No injuries were reported.

A separate blaze in Penn Hills started in the basement of a Laurie Drive home at about the same time.

Crews at the scene told Channel 11 News the blaze caused heavy smoke and water damage in the basement, but the rest of the home wasn’t damaged.

No injuries were reported in that fire.
