PITTSBURGH
--
A fire at a home in Pittsburgh's Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood spread to a nearby church on Tuesday afternoon.
Sky 4 flew over the home in the 7100 block of Vassar Street as smoke billowed into the air.
Channel 4 Action News' Shannon Perrine reported that the homeowner and his children made it out of the house safely.
"I heard a noise upstairs. I looked and I saw flames. I hurried up and got my children out of the house. I tried to go back in upstairs to stop it and it was just too much glass, too much smoke. I couldn't stop it," said homeowner Ronald Fuller.
Fuller said that he suspects there was an electrical problem with an air conditioner in his daughter's bedroom.
The flames from the home spread next door to the roof of Bethel Church of Christ, Perrine reported.
At least one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
