SLICKVILLE, Pa. --

The flames lit up the sky in Slickville. There was an orange glow as firefighters battled a two alarm house fire on Story Road.

Slickville Fire Chief, Chris Filkosky, said, "There was a great fire load when we showed up."

Firefighters got the call just after 5 p.m. Sunday. Three people, including a child, lived inside the log cabin style home. They were home at the time of the fire with their two dogs, but everyone made it out safely.

Heavy smoke blanketed the area. It proved to be too much for three firefighters who suffered from smoke inhalation. Two were treated at the scene and one needed to be transported to a local hospital.

"He was transported to West Non Emergency, that's all I can say at this point," said Filkosky.

Crews remained on the scene for hours after the flames were put out.
