Dec. 09--Firefighters found two bodies inside a burning home Wednesday morning in Cohasset.

The victims were identified as Linda Marie Lumley, 56, and Harold Raymond Lumley, 49, according to the Itasca County Sheriff's Office. Their bodies were found after the Sheriff's Office and the Cohasset and Grand Rapids fire departments were dispatched to a fire at 750 N.W. Third St. in Cohasset at 7:25 a.m.

"All indications are they died of smoke inhalation," based on preliminary autopsy results, said Dean Scherf, a sheriff's office investigator.

The fire was reported by a passerby, Scherf said. Heavy smoke and flames were coming from the building when firefighters and law enforcement officers arrived. Firefighters found the Lumleys inside the home while attempting to contain the fire.

Investigators have not determined the fire's cause, but it doesn't look suspicious, Scherf said.

The Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office are investigating.
