Firefighters in Dayton spent the overnight hours battling a house fire on West Norman Avenue.
Fire officials said it took firefighters about 30 minutes to put the fire out. They said there were no injuries during the fire.
One resident said this was not the first fire in the area. She claimed it was the third building to burn in the area since summer.
The resident said she does not know if people are deliberately setting the fires or if there may be some other cause.
Dayton Power and Light was called in because of a downed wire in the back yard. However, they said the downed wire did not spark the flames.
Officials said an investigators preliminary investigation ruled the fire to be arson. Firefighters said the flames moved fast in the back of the house.
Firefighters said there was about $35,000 worth of damage to the house. They said there was not anyone living in the home.
As far as a number of fires in the area, firefighters were not able to provide any information on that.
