A state investigator says arson is to blame for at least some of the northern Bosque County wildfires that have run the Walnut Springs volunteer firefighters ragged in recent weeks.

Don Poovey, the Texas Forest Service's north region law enforcement supervisor, said Tuesday that six fires over a six-day period last week have been

ruled arson. Investigators have identified a suspect, but he has not been arrested, Poovey said.
