Ohio Firefighter Pleads Guilty To Arson

He is accused of setting two fires in Belmont County late last year

A firefighter with the Holloway Volunteer Fire Department has pleaded guilty to two counts of arson.

Richard Dunlap is accused of setting two fires in Belmont County late last year. Deputies arrested Dunlap in December after they said he confessed to setting fire to 500,000 railroad ties and also trying to set fire to a house.

Dunlap made his guilty pleas in front of Belmont County Common Pleas Judge Jennifer Sargus Monday morning.

He will be sentenced next month.
