ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) -- Two people were in police custody in Forsyth County Wednesday after an early morning fire in a vacant building.

The fire at the building at the Chattahoochee River Club development was reported around 8 a.m. The two were taken into custody shortly after 9 a.m., said Forsyth County Fire Department Lt. Kevin Wallace.

They were been taken to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department for questioning. Authorities have not released their names.

The latest fire was in the same area where suspicious fires have broken out in recent weeks.

Wednesday a task force of 15 metro Atlanta agencies was scheduled to meet to discuss about 30 suspicious fires in Forsyth, Fulton and Gwinnett counties since the end of April.

Authorities believe the fires may be connected.

State Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine has announced a $10,000 reward for information in the case. A hot line also has been set up at 1-800-282-5804.
