Ohio Firefighter Charged With Arson

Capt. Carl E. Dillon of Proctorville, was charged with one count of arson and one count of possession of criminal tools.

WINDSOR TOWNSHIP- A Windsor Township firefighter was arrested last week in connection with a Feb. 19 fire at the Crown City State Wildlife Area.

Capt. Carl E. Dillon, of 275 Skinner Hollow Road, Proctorville, was charged with one count of arson and one count of possession of criminal tools. If he is convicted of both crimes he could be sentenced to a total of 30 months in jail and fined $7,500.

Dillon was arraigned in Lawrence County Municipal County Municipal Court and is free on $7,500 bond.

According to a written release from the Ohio Department of Commerce, the arrest came after the investigation into several fires recently on state lands in Lawrence County.
