Calif. Firefighters Battle Four Arson Fires in 24-Hours

The latest in the string of arson fires for the Fresno Fire Department was in a vacant home on Wednesday morning.

Feb. 27--Fresno firefighters battled four arson fires in a 24-hour period through Wednesday morning, the most recent at a vacant house in the 3600 block of East McKenzie Avenue.

Firefighters responded to the blaze about 7:15 a.m. Fire Department spokesman Koby Johns said squatters were in the house before the blaze started. Damage was estimated to be $60,000.
