Two People Hurt in Kentucky Apartment Explosion

Fire investigators in Danville are trying to figure out what caused an apparent explosion and fire in an apartment building that injured two.

Nov. 13--At least two people were injured early Wednesday in an explosion and fire at an apartment building in Danville, officials said.

Information remained sketchy, but Danville Fire Department Battalion Chief James Coffman confirmed that two people were flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital after the explosion on Patrician Place.

It happened about 12:30 a.m.

Initial reports indicated that there was an explosion on the first floor of the four-plex apartment, followed by a fire.

An investigation is continuing.
