N.C. Fire Station, Apparatus Destroyed by Flames

The fire at North River Volunteer Fire Co. was discovered about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

A fire has destroyed a North Carolina fire station and several trucks inside.

The North River Volunteer Fire Station near Beaufort caught fire around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, according to The News Observer.

Firefighters in the station couldn't get their equipment out and had to wait for firefighters from other stations to respond.

There were no injuries.

The cause remains under investigation.
