Five gas workers were injured when a blast leveled a home in New Jersey Tuesday morning.

Utility crews were working on the leak in Stafford Township when the explosion occurred, NBC Philadelphia reported.

"The house has been disintegrated," said Stafford Township Mayor John Spodofora.

New Jersey Natural Gas workers has just arrived on the scene at the time of the blast, said spokesman Mike Kinney. 

The blast rocked nearby homes, which have now been evacuated.
