Four-Alarmer Hits Brooklyn Homes

March 9, 2015
More than 170 FDNY firefighters are trying to quell the flames.

A raging fire consumed a building on the Brooklyn waterfront Monday, sending thick black plumes of smoke into the air as firefighters doused the charred structure with water.

The fire spread from one building to at least two others, according to reports from the scene.

Additional alarms were sounded as crews needed help. No injuries in the 3 p.m. fire had been reported.

The fire was still burning out of control more than 90 minutes later.
