N.J. Amusement Park Ride Catches Fire

The Gravitron in Keansburg Amusement Park was damaged.

Firefighters were called to a Jersey shore amusement park Monday afternoon after an amusement park ride caught fire.

The fire that damaged the Gravitron sent a plume of dark smoke over the boardwalk in Keansburg, NBC4 reported.

There was no word if there were any riders aboard when the fire broke out. 

The cause remains under investigation.
