A UK firefighter suffered a minor injury after he and his crew were attacked at a skate park.

The Tyne and Wear Fire Rescue Service firefighters were attempting to extinguish a bin fire when people started throwing bottles and other items at them, according to ChronicleLive. 

The officer was struck five times.

Fire officials are warning that anyone caught assaulting firefighters while they are carrying out lifesaving work will be investigated and prosecuted.
