A raging fire ripped through the clubhouse at the century old Cobbs Creek Golf Club in West Philadelphia overnight.
No injuries were reported but firefighters confronted frigid temperatures and rapid icing conditions while battling the blaze.
The fire broke out about 11 p.m. and it took firefighters two hours to bring the blaze under control.
The club, at 7400 Lansdowne Avenue, opened in 1916 and bills itself at the oldest public golf course in the Philadelphia area. The colonial style clubhouse was built for the club.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
