Nine Seattle firefighters were injured early Wednesday in a building explosion.
Among those transported were eight firefighters and a battalion chief, who reportedly suffered minor injuries, according to NBC.
Firefighters were 39 minutes into the gas leak call when the blast occurred, leveling at least two buildings.
As of 7 a.m., five firefighters had been released, while others didn't require treatment, a hospital spokesperson told reporters.
They suffered lacerations, not burns.
At least 67 firefighters were at the scene, according to a tweet from Seattle fire officials.
Crews are expected to be on the scene most of the day.
