Officials believe squirrels started Nashville house fire on Thursday.
Five people escaped 5:49 a.m. house fire on Old Hickory Boulevard, according to the Tennessean.
"It looks like the fire started in the attic and was likely an electric short, possibly caused by a squirrel or a rodent," Nashville Fire spokesman Brian Haas told the newspaper.
The fire was placed under control by 7:15 a.m.
