Nashville House Fire Blamed on Squirrels

Nashville fire officials said the fire started in the attic of the home.

Officials believe squirrels started Nashville house fire on Thursday.

Five people escaped 5:49 a.m. house fire on Old Hickory Boulevard, according to the Tennessean

"It looks like the fire started in the attic and was likely an electric short, possibly caused by a squirrel or a rodent," Nashville Fire spokesman Brian Haas told the newspaper.

The fire was placed under control by 7:15 a.m.
