Miss. Firefighter Charged with DUI After Engine Crash

A Miss. firefighter reportedly admitted to having alcohol in his system following a fire engine crash.

Phillip W. Gasaway, 34, lost control of the fire truck from Unity Fellowship Vol. Fire Dept., WTVA reported.

He was headed to a grass fire about 7:30 p.m. Thursday when the rig veered off the road to avoid a crash with a car, the station reported.

Gasaway was charged with driving under the influence.
