Police in Auburn have arrested two suspects in connection with a July 6 fatal mobile home fire, a department spokesman said.

The suspects — one juvenile and one adult — remain in custody, said department spokesman Cmdr. Steve Stocker.

Police and firefighters responded to the blaze in the 29000 block of 142nd Avenue southeast shortly before 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, officials said. The fire destroyed the home and injured one firefighter, said Kimberly Terhune, Valley Regional Fire Authority spokeswoman.

Fire department officials last week confirmed that investigators had found a body inside the home. The body has not yet been identified.

Stocker said investigators believe the homeowner may have been inside at the time of the fire.
