Personal affects, such laptops, tablets and cell phones were stolen from a Milwaukee fire station while firefighters were responding to what turned out to be a false alarm.

According to a report published by FOX6NOW.com, firefighters at Station 34 were called out at around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, investigated and left the scene. When they returned to the station, they found it had been burglarized.

Only personal belonging were taken during the theft, according to the published report. None of Milwaukee’s property, firefighting equipment or televisions, were taken during the burglary.

Entrance to the building was made through an open window, according to Foxnews.com.

Proper precautions are now being taken by firefighters to secure the building in the future.
