Suspicious Two-Alarm Fire Destroys Historic AL High School

More than 50 Birmingham firefighters battled a massive blaze at the historic Ensley High School. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service responded at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday to the now-closed school on Avenue J in Ensley. BFRS Capt. Harold Watson said a passerby reported flames were visible through the windows.
